Musksnipe,

Now that you've had it a few days, how do you like it? I was looking at a Dell with very similar specs including the 500 gig HD, but wasn't sure how the important bits were, like the chip and the graphics card. Are you happy with them? And did you say you can plug it into an external monitor?

Meh, I never sell an old machine muskie due to the money that I spent on it and my return on investment being a small fraction of such. Also, I don't want some stranger traipsing through my house wanting to take a look at the PC but really looking at your big screen for a five finger discount.

When I'm done with a PC as I am now with my 1GHz Celeron machine, I give it away. Heck, it's still a good machine for surfing/videos/movies/ chess/solitaire. Has XP and 512MB RAM with a newish(4yr. old) 350W Thermaltake PSU. Should last someone for ten years man!

I am very happy with it.
I found the graphics card lacking for playing any newer graphics intensive games. But for videos, pictures, etc. It works very well.
The cpu is surprisingly fast. It doesn't leave me wishing to get back on my desktop.
Yes, there is a video jack for an external monitor. (I need a 15 foot cord to reach the 52" flat panel)

@augie Selling to a friend, so I have a little more set up to do before taking it over there. She's PC illiterate so it should last her forever.
That'll pay a good portion of the credit card charge.
I'm on a the 6th step of a 12 step plan to get my wife let me build a monster desktop sometime in the future.

Is the flat panel a tv screen? Or is it a computer screen?

My flat panel is a TV, but that display output will also work for a regular PC monitor.
